Chronicles of a #WorkingDancer

Since my post on auditioning, I've come into contact with a good number of aspiring dancers.  Just by chance, I've happened upon young dancers who are eager to turn their passion into their profits.  As we spoke, I kindly suggested they join our #WorkingDancer movement, and I also couldn't help but be reminded of my own dance journey. I clearly remember being where these young hopefuls are.  Eager.  Determined. Excited. Completely unaware of just how much work it would take to make my dreams come true.

And so, to make my trip down memory lane official, I thought I'd take you along with me.  Here's my dance life, in a nutshell.  This obviously doesn't included every single project I've worked, but it's a nice collection of my dance memories, nonetheless.  Here goes...

There was absolutely no way for me to include every dance experience from my lifetime, but these were close by and worth the share.

Every blog post I've posted thus far has been geared towards giving you insight you can apply to your dance career pursuit, but this one's a little different.  This one's for me.

It's my way of counting my blessings.  I'm acknowledging where I've been and how I've gotten where I am today.

I'm beyond grateful for every dance experience I've had, paid or not, amateur or professional.  I'm just blessed to have dance in my life.

And I guess, if I had to leave you with something, it would be to suggest that you to cherish your gift.  We may not be exactly where we want to be yet, but we still have time to get there.

Will it be hard? Yes.

Will it be worth it?

Absolutely.
